Ruwbauw is an architectural collaboration between Dries Reniers and Nyall Aedan Smith. They graduated together from the Sint-Lukas Brussels architecture programme. Nyall Smith is also a trained artist (LUCA School of Arts, Ghent) with a focus on architecture, nature and the poetics of space. The foundation of Ruwbauw lies in a shared interest for the complexity that architecture can bring with it in all its facets. With a focus on spatiality, nature, material and friction, the Bauwers direct themselves towards architectural, urban and natural cases. Dries Reniers is currently working for 51N4E.
